Brand Highway - Western Australia
 

The Brand Highway, from Bullsbrook north to Greenough. On the drive through the historic Greenough Flats, you will see the unique leaning trees sculptured by mother nature, and you can take a quiet walk through the historic Greenough Hamlet, a collection of eleven restored original buildings, and take time to reflect on the lives of pioneers who once lived here. Visit the old cemeteries and read the epitaphs engraved on old tombstones.

The botanical name of the tree is Eucalyptus
Camaidulensis - Red River Gum.

The characteristic is the result of strong winds blown across the Greenough Flats laden with salt from the Indian Ocean.
