High Country Cottage Our good friends Chris and Pearl moved from Western Australia to a property just outside the small town of Harrietville, on the Great Alpine Road. The remnants of a hops kiln are still standing in their back block, and a failed conifer nursery still had many young potted plants going wild from neglect. The house was little more than a unfinished shell. With Chris's hard work on the building side and Pearls finishing touch (and lots of money), they have produced a Country Cottage showpiece.
