Geraldton Region - Western Australia

Located 424 kilometres north of Perth and the gateway to the State's vast north, Geraldton is a bustling coastal town and regional centre. Blessed with beautiful beaches and warm, sunny weather, Geraldton is also a major export centre for far flung pastoral, mining, agricultural, manufacturing, construction and fishing industries. It is an ideal base for self drive tours, especially during the famous wildflower season from July to November, and is within a few hours' drive on sealed roads to the real Australian 'Outback'.

This magnificent memorial has become the country’s premier site for honouring the 645 Australian sailors who were lost without trace during a World War II battle in 1941, off the Western Australia coast.

The beautifully designed memorial features a silver dome of 645 seagulls to represent the lost Sydney sailors.

The Sydney and her men disappeared after a battle with German ship, Kormoran. While the Kormoran was also lost, many of her crew survived the ordeal. However, the watery graves of both the Sydney and Kormoran sailors remain a mystery.

TIME and ETERNITY

Dr. Werner Gitt, a leading information scientist, begins by examining time as a physical quantity. He then proceeds to apply the laws and theorems of information science to time, examining what time is in relation to our transient perspective. In the course of this investigation, it becomes apparent that his rigorous scientific approach still serves to confirm a Biblical view of time. Finally, Dr. Gitt takes a last look at time within the broader context of eternity. On the other side of death, time is no more; it dissolves into eternity as one waking from a dream.
