High Court of Australia, Canberra - Australian Capital Territory

The High Court building is one of Australia's National Buildings and also one of Canberra's major tourist attractions. It is situated on 3.4 hectares (8.4 acres) of land in the Parliamentary Triangle, on the shores of Lake Burley Griffin between the National Science and Technology Centre and the National Gallery of Australia. The building was designed by the architectural firm of Edwards Madigan Torzillo and Briggs Pty Ltd, who were the winners of a national architectural competition held in 1972 and 1973. Construction began in 1975, and it was completed in 1980 at a total cost of $46.5 million. It was officially opened by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 26 May 1980.

The battle that rages for our hearts and minds is nothing less than a battle for truth.

The Christian worldview is under attack from many directions. Competing worldviews have infiltrated every area of modern society—education, politics, business, the media—and exercise a powerful influence on the way we think and behave. In such a battle, there is no room for ignorance.
